Kathy Jankowski lost her mother on November 5, 2007. I will always remember her as such a friendly person. She always welcomed you into her home with open hands and a bright smile! She was such a happy person! Karen sent me the following Memorial and I learned more about Irene and thought it was important to pass on to you. Please take a few minutes to read it...

The family of Irene Jankowski wishes to inform you of her passing. She passed away on November 5, 2007. She was 84 years old.
She attended the Detroit Day School for the Deaf and graduated from Mackenzie High School in Detroit. Irene was an active member of the National Fraternal Society of the Deaf, the Detroit Association of the Deaf and the Lutheran Church for the Deaf in Michigan for many years, as well as the Gulf Coast Deaf Service Center in Florida.
As a student, she was a champion speller and went all the way to the Michigan State competition basing her spelling solely on what she lip-read.
A loving, caring woman with a cheerful smile, she is missed by her husband, Alex; daughter Kathy; Karen Goss; and grandson, Vitali.
The Irene Jankowski Memorial Fund has been established in her memory at the American Association of the Deaf-Blind. Donations may be sent to: The Irene Jankowski Memorial Fund at: The American Association of the Deaf-Blind, 8630 Fenton Street, Suite 121 , Silver Spring, MD 20910

The "Generation's" pictures bug spread throughout the family and Grandma was very happy to participate. My thanks to my cousin Donna for getting the bug going!!!

Collin had fun helping Grandpa Bruce rake leave then play in them!!!

Yesterday Bryce and Jaxson came over and the kids watched Jungle Book and had a Popcorn Party! Bryce got up and put his bowl of popcorn on the couch and Nathan made a B-line for it. By the time I got to him, he already had it in his mouth! Then he started to grab it in hand fulls! Sorry Nathan, you at too young for popcorn!!!

Sunday, November 11, 2007

Michelle just sent me some pictures of their Halloween night. The boys were Optimus Prime and Ultimate Bumblebee. Jessa was the cutest little Bumblebee!!! She appears to be enjoying her Halloween treats!!!

Nathan has turned 9 months old!
He thinks it is really special if he can play with big brother's blankie!!!

Friday, November 2, 2007

This year Collin was a ferocious lion for Halloween and Nathan was a Dalmatian. Collin was proud to let you know that lion's say "ROAR"!!! Nathan made a b-line to the candy bowl! He was pretty wired when he returned home (as you can see in the pictures) even though he didn't have any treats! The joy of being young!!!

Thursday, November 1, 2007

Collin was very happy to help me make some Halloween cupcakes! When he saw the pictures he was pleased but asked me why we couldn't see his face? He was too busy to look at the camera! The cupcakes tasted GREAT!!!

Happy 1st Birthday Jessa! October 12, 2007

Wednesday, October 24, 2007

While looking around Salina for different play structures to visit, we came across this old Union Pacific train engine parked with a ramp going to the engine compartment. The kids were besides themselves with excitement! I think it the the highlight of the park visits!

The twin cousins are as cute as can be!!!

Monday, October 22, 2007

Jessa is our little Angel!

Sunday, October 21, 2007

We visited many parks while in Kansas. The boys really liked this Butterfly Garden. It was circled by brick pavers and they started running laps. It was so cute!!!

Saturday, October 20, 2007

Nathan, you are quite the character! Everywhere we go, people are amazed at how happy you are. You truly have a bright light inside! You really enjoyed playing with your cousin Jessa in Kansas. You were really impressed with the way she could stand up and you came home and mastered it for yourself. It is so much fun watching you grow! You are my littlest love! Love Grandma!!!

Friday, October 19, 2007

Jessa, I am so happy that I was able to spend your first birthday with you. You are such a cuddly, lovable baby! Your Mom and Dad went away for their sixth anniversary and you are still breastfeed. You cried for your Mom and hit the bottle out of my hand! In the morning it was so precious when you reached for the bottle and finally drank it! Love you precious baby!

Thursday, October 18, 2007

Collin, You so looked forward to our Kansas trip to visit Brandon, Jaden and Jessa. Even though you got sick on the trip, you were able to smile for the camera. You did great little buddy! When we got home, I got sick and you said, "Grandma, Me and Daddy prayed for you!" I think you have a special calling. Love you Bunches. Grandma Connie :)

Wednesday, October 17, 2007

Jaden, you are really becoming quite the talker!!! We were all so impressed how your speech has improved. You also have quite the imagination and are so animated. I think you got that from your Mother! You are such a tender soul and I love you so much!!!

Tuesday, October 16, 2007

Brandon, you are turning into such a wonderful young boy! I was so happy to see you and see how you have grown. You even let me take pictures of you, which I loved! Keep up the good work - I love you and miss you so much already! Love Grandma!!!
