On the morning of our trip to Kansas, Collin woke up with a fever. I watched him very closely and gave him Motrin every 6 hours as needed. At about 9:30 in the evening, I gave him his medicine and was preparing to get some driving behind us, when he started vomiting and wheezing very badly. I was so scared. Heather and I along with everyone in Michigan and Kansas were looking for a hospital in desolate Iowa. We found one in Newton, Iowa. Everyone was great there. Collin only had a virus with a high fever and a croupy cough. They gave him a shot of penicillin and sent us on our way. On our way home, Nathan got a fever and was vomiting. He ended up going to the Doctor when he got home and he does have the croup. I guess the kids just aren't up to long road trips???

When we left the hospital at 1:30 in the morning, I forgot to turn on my headlights. Guess what? I got pulled over by the cops!!! They let me go after he realized I had just forgotten to turn them on. I was either going to stay the night in a hospital or a jail!!!!

Our first state to cross was Indiana where enjoyed a delicious lunch at McDonalds!

We're Home! We had a wonderful trip! Kansas is very beautiful! There are tons of butterfly's! The background picture was taken in Michelle's backyard! Jessa was posing with her Mom and brothers at her first birthday party. Many more pictures to come...

Tomorrow Heather, Collin, Nathan and I will start our first cross country trip to Kansas to visit Michelle and her gang. Mom and Dad left yesterday and arrived late this afternoon. This is my first long road trip with a baby since Debbie and I drove from Florida with Kristina and Michelle when she was 1 year old. I think Michelle cried the whole way, right Debbie!!! I would like to inform "The Lurker", or anyone else - that I will not be making blog postings while I am gone - but should have plenlty new material when I return! I am also playing with my new program (Color Select Studio) that turns the picture to black and white and you re-add the original color. So far it has been fun altering pictures!

A little photo fun with our five generation pictures!

Our family got together on Sunday to take Five Generation pictures! It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed a lunch of Pizza and Greek salad out in the sun! We all had a great, but too short, time together. Due to planning a cross country trip to Kansas, I have not had a lot of time to dedicate to the blog. I will have lots to post when I return. Michelle says Jessa loves to crawl around the house with her shoes on her hands! Jessa looks quite proud of herself! Only 2 more weeks before we begin our trip to Kansas to visit them! I can't wait!!!

This page was made with the help of Karen. She emailed me the pictures of Dad playing on the little bike and thought I could make a scrapbook page out of them. I knew Michelle just sent me some pictures of Jaden crashing on his bike and thought I could match them up. I was absolutely amazed at how they were both playing alike. Believe me Jaden was not even born when the pictures of Dad were taken. And Michelle was not trying to copy the pictures like I have been know to do!!! I think it is a very special page! Thank you Karen for sending me the pictures, and also to Michelle for taking pictures and sharing them.

Here are cute pictures of Jessa being a Superstar! The picture at the top is one that Karen made on her computer about 15 years ago. She gave it to me and I have always thought it was pretty neat!

Kristina's two little dolls! Dondee is Kristina's baby doll that I made for her just days before Michelle was to enter our family. That makes Dondee 27 years old now! Nathan was 2 1/2 months old when these pictures were taken!

Happy Labor Day! We spent the day on Lake Fenton with Bruce's daughters! It was a beautiful day. This is the last picture I made before my computer crashed again. This time I lost 2 months of pictures. So this is the only picture I have of our wonderful weekend. I may be posting old pictures until I get back in the groove!
