Collin and I check in on our Writing Spider daily! She is always in the same place, which is right next to the sidewalk. It is amazing that she stays there. Thanks to Debbie for quickly identifying the species! Now I know she is harmless and probably will stay until fall unless someone messes with her. I also learned I will not put my hand in Hostas without gloves on any more!!!Monday, August 27, 2007

Too funny. I had one of these spiders a few years ago that I watched everyday until I pointed him out to Jake. The next day, the poor writing spider was dead on my front porch - thanks to Jake I'm sure.
So, please don't point out your spider to Frank!!

I remember that too, Mom. You tried showing me the spider (George) evvvverrryy day... and I was a lot less enthused about it than Collin! Guess that's the difference between the ages of 20 and 2! =)
