Collin started doing many different poses that we have never seen. Here are just a few of his creations. I guess we need to send him to modeling school!
They did much better on the Genesee Belle!

...The rhythm of the train put the kids to sleep within minutes!!!

We were all excited about the train ride...

You can see the pride on Collin's face as Papa let him wear his Engineer hat!

We went into the local Barber shop in Crossroad's Village and Collin jumped right up into the chair. If the Barber wanted to cut his hair I think Collin would have let him. It is surprising because Kristina has done all of his hair cutting! As far as I know, he has never seen a barber's chair!

Collin walked into the old schoolhouse and sat down like he knew where he was. The teacher helped him plant some grass seed in a Dixie cup and he was able to decorate the cup with stickers and markers. He seemed to really be paying attention as the teacher spoke. Grandpa Lou was a great help!

Last weekend we went to Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad and met Mom and Dad. Jason and Kristina took Collin, Nathan and myself (Bruce had a golf outing). Norman and Lou also came. We all had a great day - however, most of the pictures were of Collin. Nathan was just hanging out in the stroller!

After leaving Monroe, we went to Frankenmuth to see our granddaughter Makayla play softball. She plays 1st base and does a great job! Her team won the game 4 - 3. Way to go Kayla!!!

Final picture of our Monroe Trip!

I think Nathan is game for anything!

I was amazed when I saw my shadow! Check out Frank!

Kristina and Collin were up before the sun. Oh yea, Heather was too!

Dad and Scooter in the morning.

When it was time for Collin to go to bed in the tent he told him Mommy that he wanted to go camping. She said you are camping. He said, "No, I want to sleep in the camper." Mommy told him, "You are sleeping in a tent so you are really camping." He was so tired he fell asleep immediately!

Collins tastes his first S'more. After taking a couple of bites he said, "Grandma, I don't like S'mores." and thru it down. Of well - one of these days he will love them!
"Shouldn't we get outta here?"

Nathan has found the soft spot in Papa's heart with his "Happy" smile!

Lori - "Grammy" appears to be having a lot of fun at the waterpark in Kansas when she visited Bryan, Michelle and the kids in late June. As most of you know, Lori has taken ill and Deni is asking that we all say a prayer for her speedy recovery. If you would like to leave her a message, please post a comment on my blog. I will have her look at it when she is feeling better. My personal message to Lori is: Get well soon! We need you in our family! You are so loved!!!

Bryce was so happy when he came to visit. He went to play in the dirt where the flowers are now and looked at me wondering why I would take away his dirt to plant flowers! He did the same thing where the tomato plant is now. Bryce, we made a sandbox for you to play in!

Bryce came to visit while his Mom got her hair done. Collin was so excited to finally have some friends to play with. When I was taking this picture I asked them to hold hands. They both reached out with their right hand as if to shake hands! I wonder who has been teaching them this! It was so precious!

Today I put Nathan on Collin's scooter and he stood right up! I was shocked! He definitely is taking everything in and can't wait to be a big boy! He is truly still just a little cuddly baby but is more than willing to try anything new!

Collin has taken a great liking to his "Blankie". Everyday I am asked, "What is Blankie doing?" Usually "He" is just sitting in the corner. This day, he had to take a walk with us and was dragged around the block - so he needed a bath!

Collin and Nathan at 5 months old!

Thursday, July 12, 2007

Collin spent some time at our house on the 4th of July - Due to the rainy weather, we painted. Collin really enjoys playing with paint! Hmmm - I need my bedroom painted!!!

Dave and Jennifer still have it!

The Vowels and Clingan familys remembered to get their Grandkid's lined up for their yearly picture. I was only able to get two of mine together. Looks like Jaden was thrilled with the idea!

Here are pictures of some of the guest who attended The Birthday Celebration. For some reason nobody took the traditional "family" pictures. Whoops!

Dean is the cutest little guy!

Kelli and Jim had a great time at the party!!!

Thanks to Rachel for bringing her face painting supplies to the birthday party. It was a Big Hit!
Dad and Uncle Tom found a few minutes to catch up on old times!

Jaden was captured Karate Chopping bubbles from the bubble machine!

Kristina and Nathan were good sports in helping recreate a picture from the past! Nathan is a little older than Kristina was and just wanted to roll over!

Happy Birthday Mom and Aunt Evelyn!

Wednesday, July 4, 2007

Jason and Kristina found their spot at the back of the Thomas ride where there was a small Hay Ride! It looks like they enjoyed being in the "caboose"!

My Dad spent many hours creating a "Thomas the Tank Engine" out of an old riding lawnmower. He put the final coat of paint on it just hours before the birthday party. Thomas was a "Hit" with everyone! Great job Dad!!!
Mom and Evelyn had a joint birthday party on June 30th to celebrate their "0" Birthdays! The party was at Mom and Dad's house and was a blast!
This is the first time the boys had a sleep-over. We watched "The Wizard of Oz" and had Popcorn! Collin and Jaden were asleep by the end of the movie and I didn't hear a word from them the rest of the night! Not bad for 2 year olds!

After a nice walk, it is always fun to have a Backyard Picnic!
The kids just love to go for a daily walk.
They like to stop at this bridge and run across it!

There is nothing better in the morning than running outside and playing in the sandbox in your pajamas!
Brandon and Jessa bonding!

Jessa enjoys playing with the water at a Splash Park in Kansas, shortly before coming to visit us in Michigan.

Our little Jessa Lou is now eight months olds! If you zoom in on the bottom left picture, you can see her first tooth!
